The collection started out under the working title Construction Sofa, a name that reflects the core idea behind the design: making the structure visible and part of the expression. The starting point was the back of a canvas, where the stretcher frame is left exposed. This led to a study of different frame constructions, eventually focusing on the triangular corner bracket, the bleck, which gives the collection its name.
The bracket is traditionally a hidden, functional detail in furniture making. In the Bleck collection it is brought to the surface, where it serves as both a structural and decorative element. This also shaped one of the key design intentions: that the sofa should look just as considered from the back as from the front. Rather than being pushed against a wall, the sofa can be placed freely in a room, making it a natural divider and a composed object from every angle.
The solid beech frame carries cushions filled with a duck feather and polyether composite, available upholstered in fabric or leather.
In 2022 the collection was expanded to include a coffee table and a pedestal, extending the same design language into complementary pieces for the room.
