Boro Kafe is an interior design project for the café and restaurant at the Far Eastern Antiquities Museum in Stockholm. The design approach was guided by careful reuse, with a number of existing furniture pieces retained and updated rather than replaced. Table bases were fitted with new solid beech tops, giving the furniture a refreshed and coherent expression.
A screen wall was introduced to strengthen the spatial definition of the room, creating a sense of enclosure and separation without closing off the space entirely.
As a finishing detail, small everlasting flower bouquets were assembled in the studio and placed on each table, adding a handmade and personal quality to the overall interior.
