HI-group was a collective of interior architects and furniture designers active in the 1960s who sought to renew Swedish furniture making and return craft to the centre of the design process. Working at a time when serial production and standardisation dominated the industry, the group created a space for experimentation free from industrial constraints. The initiative was also a direct response to Danish dominance in craft furniture, asserting that Sweden had its own strong voice in the field. For the first time since the 1960s, the exhibition brought together around thirty original pieces from the group's production, ranging from solid mahogany and birch cabinets, chairs and tables to a colourful plywood dining set conceived for industrial manufacture.

The exhibition design places all pieces on a shared podium, reflecting the democratic working methods and collective thinking that defined the group. The entire structure is built in re-board, a lightweight, paper based and fully recyclable material, creating a contemporary contrast to the crafted objects on display.
