Year 2018-
For the reopening of the renovated Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, TAF Studio was commissioned to create part of the interior. Among the pieces designed for this purpose was the wall shelf Museum NM&.045.
The shelf, refined in proportion and strong in construction, now holds sculptures, busts, and other smaller objects from the museum's collections.
The Museum Sidetable, with its adjustable height, extends the family further: pedestal, side table, bedside table...
A candleholder with an adjustable stem. Raised for a formal dinner setting, lowered for everyday use.
A trolley with narrow proportions that allow it to fit into spaces and contexts where a trolley wouldn't ordinarily belong.
A small pedestal with versatile use - small enough to sit on a table or even on a shelf.
All pieces in the family share a design language drawn from industrial construction techniques, such as I-beams and similar structural forms.
Nearly every technique available for working with aluminium has been employed - including casting, extrusion, and laser cutting etc.
