The entrance hall is one of the most spatially constrained rooms in a home, and it was this limitation that became the starting point for the Super Narrow cabinet. TAF took the challenge of the super narrow proportions as a design brief in itself, developing a cabinet that occupies a minimal footprint while remaining functional for the storage of everyday accessories such as gloves, scarves and small bags.
The aesthetic reference is deliberately unexpected. The cabinet draws its formal inspiration from the blue rubbish bins found on the streets outside TAF's studio in Stockholm, industrial objects with a directness and simplicity of form that translates naturally into furniture.
