The showroom occupies a fin-de-siècle apartment in Södermalm, Stockholm. The existing character of the space is retained as a deliberate counterpoint to the textiles on display, grounding the collection in a domestic rather than a retail context. The primary function of the space is to present Svensson's textile range in full scale and to provide access to material knowledge, personal consultation, and sample references.
Hanging textiles are presented in three lengths, allowing each fabric to be read across its different functional applications. A galvanised archive system organises the complete sample library. One room operates as a rotating furniture gallery, demonstrating how Svensson's upholstery textiles perform across varying interior contexts.
A conference table referencing the tailor's cutting table and a series of bespoke display systems have been custom designed for the space. Vintage furniture by Bruno Mathsson, reupholstered in Svensson textiles, establishes a dialogue between Swedish furniture heritage and contemporary textile production. All materials are natural and left as unprocessed as possible, with loose furnishings selected from Swedish craft practitioners.
